Prolific OH musician Tim Pritchard is currently at work on a new project with engineer Mark Spear. Tim is known for his unique approach to songwriting with bands like Flyaway Minion. Look for a release in the months to come.

Producer/Engineer Josh Antonuccio is in the studio with a fantastic songwriter from Wichita,KS named Aaron Lee Martin. Aaron crafts engaging tales of tormented characters looking for redemption and mercy in a broken world. Set against a backdrop of desolate acoustic guitar and banjo, this is a terrific collection of material, set to be released next year.

9.8.08 Athens' own Russenorsk is now working on a terrific 8-song album with producer/engineer Josh Antonuccio. Russenorsk is one of the most exciting bands in Athens right now with a hybrid of Joy Division, Andrew Bird, and Clap Your Hands Say Yeah. Look for a release in early 2009.

8.24.08 Detroit spoken word guru Blair is in for a week-long session with producer/engineer Christopher Pyle. Blair has been a featured artist
with HBO's Def Poetry Jam, won numerous Detroit Music and Solo Artist wards, and has been featured on bills along the likes of Stevie Wonder, Wilco, and Mike Doughty. His new album promises to be a treasure trove for long-time fans and newcomers alike. Look fora national release in the months to come.


8.10.08 Boston-area songwriter Marc Davis returned again this summer to work on a fantastic new collection of songs with producer/engineer Josh Antonuccio. Marc's newest material is a hybrid of introspective storytelling and eclectic production elements. Six songs were tracked to analog tape over the course of two days and should be released later in the year.

8.05.08 A group of local and regional drummers led by Crow and Bekki were in to record tracks and various instruments for an upcoming CD and other accompanying projects. The session was engineered by local wunderkind Rob Powell and will be available for release in the near future.

7.20.08 Producer/engineer Josh Antonuccio has teamed up once again with Southeast Engine for their new record "From The Forest to The Sea." Last week they spent 6 days tracking the entire record in the auditorium of an old middle school from the 1800's which resides in a small town in Southern Ohio. The record was tracked entirely to analog tape and most takes were done with the band playing live together on stage. 3 Elliott engineer Patrick Balding was also around quite a bit to help out. Mixing commences in a few weeks and the record will be released with Misra Records in early 2009.


7.13.08 Former Jarts keyboardist Michael Rinaldi has begun work on a new solo project at 3 Elliott Studio. He'll be teaming up with producer/engineer Chris Pyle, who also worked with him on The Jarts release "Circadian Clocks". A release is expected later in 2008.

7.10.08 Freelance producer/engineer Chris Weibel was just in with a band from State College, PA called Annasis. Annasis did all of the drum-tracking for the album at 3 Elliott Studio and are planning to finish up overdubbing at Media Design House. Led by Allan Scott, they are worship-centered band with a passion for music that centers on faith. You can learn more about them at annasis.com

7.1.08 Resident engineering guru Josh Richardson has begun work on a solo album at 3 Elliott Studio. Anyone that has caught his recent acoustic shows knows that Josh has an affinity for honest and searching songs rife with dark acoustic guitar and a haunting voice. He'll be tracking through the summer and mixing should commence soon after.

6.20.08 Progressive Pop Poet Bradley Hathaway is back at 3 Elliott Studio working on his newest full-length album "Mouth Full of Dust". He is teaming up again with producer/engineer Josh Antonuccio and has brought in a tremendous band for this record. He will be touring with Paramore this summer and hopes to have the record out around the end of the year.

6.12.08 One of our new interns, Pat Balding, is working with a tremendous artist whose name is Paul Hypolite. Paul is in working on a few songs and brings with him a unique sound that you should check out. Watch for one of his upcoming shows.

6.4.08 Next week the immortal Lohio will be coming in from Pittsburgh to begin mixing with Josh Antonuccio. Their new album "History, the Destroyer" is filled with some of their best work. They have been gaining much acclaim by critics in Pittsburgh and this album is sure to gain them an even bigger audience in the region and beyond. Watch for a release later in the summer.

5.22.08 Acoustic singer/songwriter Tim Pfaff is currently working with engineer/producer Chris Pyle on a new project. His songs are introspective and display a depth and maturity that is sure to win over the listener. Head over to his myspace page and have a listen at: myspace.com/timpfaff.

5.16.08 Engineer Josh Richardson has begun work with a fantastic band called Brown Note. They will be working on a collection of blues rock songs with Josh and are looking for a release in June.

5.9.08 Producer/Engineer Josh Antonuccio is in the studio for a week-long session with The Apprentice from Ashland, KY. Their new release will be coming out with Future Destination Records and should be out in August. Their new record is a fantastic blend of introspective acoustic and Indie-americana anthems in the lineage of Pedro The Lion and Damien Jurardo

5.4.08 Jakob Freely's new album "Look Both Ways" is coming soon! The first masters just came back from Jeff Lipton of Peerless Mastering. Dave Huffman and company, along with producer/engineer Josh Antonuccio have put together a collection of poppy and relentlessly catchy songs. Keep on the lookout for a release in the summer. 5.2 This Friday at The Union in Athens, Ohio, the mighty Kaslo will release their "Ohio EP" during the School of Media Arts and Sciences Music Showcase. Their EP was mastered by Jeff Lipton at Peerless and produced/engineered by Josh Antonuccio, who also plays bass on the record. He'll be joining them on guitar for the release show. 4.27 A great new band from Athens called Midwest Kid is now in the studio with producer/engineer Chris Pyle. They are a superb folk rock outfit with some new and old faces from Athens who are generating some buzz with their homespun sound. Be sure to go see one of their shows soon!

4.4.08 The new Jarts album "Circadian Clocks" is now finished and has been mastered by Jeff Lipton at Peerless Mastering. Produced and engineered by The Jarts' own Chris Pyle, it is a wondrous album of rich textures, engaging lyricism, and masterful songwriting. There will be a CD release show at Donkey Coffee on Saturday April 26th. Come out and support The Jarts!

3.31.08 This week the long awaited Passionworks CD "My Little Pancake Button" is being released. A show is planned on Saturday at Arts/West. The CD features a song written by Adam Remnant and Josh Antonuccio, which was recorded and mixed at 3 Elliott Studio. You can pick up a copy at passionworks.org

2.19.08 This past weekend, the fabulous Emily Rodgers came in from Pittsburgh, PA to track her newest release with producer/engineer Josh Antonuccio at 3 Elliott Studio. She brought in her band which consists of Lohio guitarist Erik Cirelli (guitar, lapsteel), Paul Smith (drums), and Austin Osterhouser (bass). Emily's sound is a magical combination of Neko Case, Mazzy Star, and Beth Orton. After tracking is finished in Athens, the album will be mixed and mastered by the sonic magician Kramer at his studio in Florida. Kramer is most famous for having produced all of Galaxie 500's catalogue, as well as Low, Yo La Tengo, Daniel Johnston, and Ween to name a few. Look for a release in 2008.
