At the foothills of Appalachia, somewhere among the mobile homes, Mail Pouch barns, and satellite dishes lies Athens, Ohio – home of Ohio University and 3 Elliott Studio. Located next to the campus of Ohio University, 3 Elliott Studio is owned and operated by Josh Antonuccio and Christopher Pyle, graduates of Ohio University and residents of Athens Ohio.

The studio was originally opened out of a glorified garage in the fall of 2000 and, mostly by word of mouth, has become one of the most popular recording studios in Southern Ohio. Recently renovated and expanded, 3 Elliott Studio is now a five-room facility, designed by professional studio designer Chris Weibel. We offer 56-track recording, excellent recording rooms, industry standard pre-amps and microphones, vintage equipment, as well as skilled and music-loving engineers who live to capture great recordings. Although we use digital mediums for recording, we have some of the best analog gear in the business to produce a classic and warm analog sound.

So, look around, and hopefully our site will give you a feel for what we have to offer to your next recording.

7.20.08 Producer/engineer Josh Antonuccio has teamed up once again with Southeast Engine for their new record "From The Forest to The Sea." Last week they spent 6 days tracking the entire record in the auditorium of an old middle school from the 1800's which resides in a small town in Southern Ohio. The record was tracked entirely to analog tape and most takes were done with the band playing live together on stage. 3 Elliott engineer Patrick Balding was also around quite a bit to help out. Mixing commences in a few weeks and the record will be released with Misra Records in early 2009.
